What file types are supported?

Text-based PDFs work out of the box: the kind exported from Word, Pages, Google Docs, or any modern document tool. Scanned image PDFs (photos of pages, no text layer) don't have text to edit directly, but the OCR PDF tool can read a scan and add a selectable text layer so it becomes searchable. If you just need to fill a form from a photo, Smart Fill handles that today.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Editing costs nothing and needs no account. There are no per-page fees or usage caps: every tool (text, shapes, signatures, forms, page ops, Smart Fill) works the same on the free tier, and exports carry no watermark. Pro ($3.99/mo) adds full-year bank statement splitting, all 20 invoice templates, and priority support. Your uploaded file auto-deletes after 2 hours either way.

How are my files handled?

Editing happens in your browser, so keystrokes never leave your device. We do upload your file to short-term storage to render it back to you, but that copy auto-deletes after 2 hours. We don't run analytics on document contents, and we never ask for an email address.

Are fonts preserved?

We extract embedded fonts from your PDF on load and re-embed them when you save. If a font isn't embedded, we fall back to a close match and warn you. Most documents look pixel-identical to the original.

Highlight, underline, strikethrough, freehand draw, hyperlinks, redaction, image insert, and signatures (typed, drawn, or uploaded). Every annotation tool is on the free tier.
