How to merge PDF files
The three steps above cover most jobs. Below are the cases that trip people up: page order, mixed page sizes, locked files, forms, and merging on a phone.
Upload the PDFs you want to combine
Drag the files onto the upload card, or click it to browse. You can add up to 100 PDFs at once, and each file can be up to 50 MB.
Nothing leaves your device at this step. The files are read straight into the browser tab, which is why there is no progress bar for an upload and no wait before you can start working.
Put the files in the right order
The merged document follows the order shown in the list, top to bottom. Use the up and down arrows on each row to move a file, or drag it into place. Getting the cover page or title page to the front is usually just one move.
Merge and download
Click Merge. The combined PDF is built in the tab and the download starts on its own. There is no email step, no signup, and no link to wait for.
Merge PDFs without uploading them to a server
Most online merge tools work by sending your files to their servers, doing the job there, and deleting the copy some hours later. That is fine for a flyer and a real problem for a contract, a payslip, or a medical record.
This tool does the merge in your browser instead. The pages are assembled by code running in the tab, so there is no copy of your document on anyone else's machine and no deletion window to trust.
Combine more than two PDFs at once
You do not need to merge in pairs. Add every file in one go, order them once, and merge once. For very large batches, browser memory becomes the practical limit before the file count does.
Merge PDFs of different page sizes
Each page keeps its own size and orientation, so an A4 report and a US Letter invoice can sit in one document without either being stretched. If you need every page to match for printing, resize the source files before merging.
What happens to bookmarks, links, and form fields
Page content, images, and fonts copy across intact, and most annotations survive. Bookmarks and interactive form fields can be flattened when pages move between documents. If a form still needs to be filled in, fill it first and merge last.

Merge a password-protected PDF
An encrypted PDF cannot be read until the password is removed, so the merge will not pick it up. Remove the password first, then merge the unlocked copy.

Combine only some pages from a file
If you only want part of a document, pull those pages out into their own PDF first, then merge that smaller file. This is the usual way to build a packet out of a few chapters from several reports.

Fix the page order after merging
If the order is wrong once you see the finished document, you do not have to start over. Open the merged file in the page organizer, drag the pages around, and save again.

Make the merged PDF smaller
Merging several scanned documents can produce a large file, mostly because of the images inside. Running the result through compression usually cuts the size a long way without a visible drop in quality.
