Merging PDFs, answered

How do I merge PDFs online for free?+

Drop the PDFs onto the upload card, drag them into the order you want, and click Merge. The combined PDF downloads right away, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Is the merge done in my browser?+

Yes. Everything happens client-side in your browser, and your files are not uploaded to a server during the merge. The only network activity is the page load itself.

How many PDFs can I combine at once?+

Up to 20 files, each up to 50 MB. Need more? Run two passes: merge the first 20, then merge that result with the next batch.

Are bookmarks, links, and form fields preserved?+

Page content, fonts, and most annotations come through intact. Bookmarks and form fields may be flattened when copied across documents, so for complex forms, edit the source PDFs first and merge last.

Is there a file size limit?+

Each file can be up to 50 MB. The combined total is only limited by browser memory, and most modern laptops handle 200+ MB merges without trouble.

Need to edit the combined PDF?

Open it in the editor, click any text, and start typing. It works in the same browser tab.
