Convert text to PDF,free, in your browser

Click Convert. The text is laid out on A4 portrait pages at 11 pt with a 20 mm margin, and the PDF downloads on its own. There is no signup and no email step.

This tool draws your characters into the PDF as real text. Open the result in any reader and you can select a line, copy it, and search it with Ctrl+F. The file stays small too, usually a few kilobytes per page.

That is worth knowing because plenty of online converters do the opposite: they photograph each page, so the result looks right but holds no characters at all, and a search finds nothing. Here the words are really in the file, so you can pull them back out later.

Lines wrap at the page width, breaking at a space so words stay whole. A run with no spaces in it, such as a long URL, a base64 blob or a git hash, has no break point of its own, so it is cut at the margin and carried onto the next line. Nothing is silently lost off the right edge.

Blank lines are kept as blank lines, leading indentation is kept, and the gaps that line up columns in a report survive the wrap. A monospace font is used for exactly that reason: every character is the same width, so a table of numbers stays a table. Tab characters are expanded to four spaces.

Drop the .log straight in. Timestamps, levels and stack traces keep their spacing, so the file reads the same on paper as it does in a terminal. Long request URLs and stack frames wrap rather than disappear. This is the usual way to attach a log to a ticket or a compliance pack without zipping it.

A CSV converts as it is written: raw comma-separated lines, one per row, not a bordered table. That is right when you want an exact record of the file. If you want columns and borders, open the CSV in a spreadsheet, save it as a workbook, and convert that instead.

The PDF is drawn with a built-in font, and that font only covers Latin characters. Anything outside it is replaced with a question mark, and the tool lists a warning so you know it happened.

The usual culprits are quiet ones: curly quotes, en and em dashes, the single-character ellipsis, bullet points and the euro sign. Accented Latin letters such as é, ü and ñ are fine, and the pound sign is fine.

Those alphabets are not supported yet, here or in the other converters, and they come out as question marks. There is no workaround on the site today. If the document has to keep its script, print it to PDF from the app that made it and use our tools on the result.

Word processors quietly swap straight quotes for curly ones and hyphens for dashes, and those are exactly the characters this tool cannot draw. Do a find and replace back to straight quotes first, or convert the document itself rather than the copied text.

There are no settings on this page. Every conversion is monospace, 11 pt, A4 portrait, with a 20 mm margin, and there is no landscape option. That is deliberate, since it is what keeps columns aligned. To change the look, convert first and then edit the PDF.

Nothing is added to the page automatically: no page numbers, no header, no footer, no filename. A 200 page log converts as 200 bare pages. Run the finished PDF through the page-number tool if the reader will need to cite a page.

Small. Because the characters are stored as text rather than as an image of the page, a long document usually comes out at a few kilobytes per page. A 500 page log stays comfortably emailable.

The file is read into the browser tab and the PDF is built there. Nothing is sent anywhere, which is the point when the text is an export, a database dump, or a log with customer data in it. No server copy, no retention window, no account to close afterwards.
