A free, in-browser PDF editor that does what desktop apps charge $14/month for — text edits, OCR, signatures, page operations, forms, password protection, and PII auto-redact — without an account, without a watermark, without uploading your file to a third-party server for processing.
What's actually different about this one
- Editing runs in your browser. Most online PDF editors POST your file to a server, edit it there, and send a rasterized copy back. We do the work in your browser via PDF.js + pdf-lib. Files transit a short-term store (auto-deleted in 2 hours) only so we can render the initial canvas.
- No paywall on the basics. Every tool is free, without a daily cap, without a watermark, without an upgrade prompt.
- PII auto-detect. One click and we scan every page for emails, phone numbers, SSNs, Luhn-validated credit cards, IBANs, IPs, and URLs — and place redactions automatically. We're not aware of another free tool that does this.
- Real AcroForm fields. Forms exported from the editor are interactive in any PDF reader, not just visual overlays.
