It is capped rather than time-limited. Split three months today, three more from another statement tomorrow; the tier never expires. The caps (3 months per statement, one split per day) are how the tool pays for itself: people with a whole year to process, usually bookkeepers in filing season, move to Pro at $3.99 a month for full-year splits and batch uploads.
- Month detection included. The text-layer scan that finds statement periods is the same on free and Pro. Free is not a degraded parser.
- Label editing included. If a header was unclear, correct the month or year on any group before downloading.

What does the free tier include?+

When would I need to upgrade to Pro?+
Two situations: a statement with 4 or more months that you need in full, or several statements to process in one sitting. Pro lifts the month cap, removes the one-split-a-day limit and adds batch uploads. Bookkeepers doing tax-season filing are the usual buyers.
Does the free splitter upload my statement anywhere?+
Everything happens on your side of the screen. Text extraction, month detection and ZIP packaging run in the browser, so the statement never leaves your device, and there are no analytics on the file contents.
Which banks does the free splitter work with?+
Any US bank that prints a date or statement-period header: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, US Bank, PNC, Truist and most credit unions all split cleanly. Image-only scans are the exception; OCR for those is on the roadmap.
