Bank of America-specific tips
Header location
BofA Core Checking and Advantage statements print "Statement Beginning: Month Day, Year" near the top of page 1. The splitter uses this as the canonical month for the whole group.
Combined monthly + alert pages
BofA sometimes appends "Other important information" pages at the back of each monthly section. These don't have a header, but the splitter forward-fills from the previous detected month, so they end up correctly attached.
Online vs paper statements
The online-downloaded PDF is identical to the mailed one. Both work. Avoid using the "Statement summary" CSV — that doesn't have a per-month layout.
