HOW IT WORKS
1

Drop your Truist PDF

Use the combined statement download from your online banking portal.

2

Confirm detected months

Truist prints a statement period at the top and dates rows MM/DD. The splitter reads the period month. Pre-merger BB&T and SunTrust statements use slightly different layouts but still carry a dated header.

3

Download per-month PDFs

Files named Jan-2024.pdf, Feb-2024.pdf, etc. ZIP or individual downloads.

Truist-specific tips

Two legacy layouts

Truist was formed by merging BB&T and SunTrust, so depending on which legacy bank your account came from you may see two different older statement layouts. Both still print a statement-period header, so month detection works on either — but check the first detected month if your file mixes pre- and post-merger statements.

Wrapping descriptions

Longer transaction descriptions wrap onto a second line. That trips up copy-paste into a spreadsheet, but it doesn't affect splitting — the splitter groups whole pages by month, not line by line.

Pre-December 2019 statements

Statements dated before the December 6, 2019 merger may live in a separate legacy documents area instead of your current Truist list. Download those first if you need a full multi-year split.

Truist statement splitter — FAQ

Will old BB&T or SunTrust statements split correctly?+

Yes, as long as the PDF has a text layer with a dated header. Both legacy layouts print a statement period, so the splitter detects the month. Pre-merger statements may need to be pulled from Truist's legacy documents area first.

Are Truist business statements supported?+

Yes. Business checking and savings statements use the same dated header layout as personal accounts, so they split the same way — even high-volume statements.

OTHER BANKS

HDFC account statement PDFs are password-protected with your Customer ID. Unlock first, then the DD/MM/YY date column drives per-month splitting.

Split a State Bank of India statement

SBI statement PDFs are password-protected, and the password depends on the source. Unlock first; the separate Debit/Credit columns and dated rows make month detection reliable.

Split a Axis Bank statement

Axis e-statement PDFs are password-protected (NAME + DDMM). Unlock first; multi-line descriptions are handled because the splitter groups by month, not by row.
