Capital One-specific tips
Header consistency
Capital One uses the same statement format across Venture, Quicksilver, Spark Business, and 360 Checking. The splitter handles all of them with one rule.
Multi-account households
If you've combined statements for multiple Capital One cards in one PDF, each card has its own statement period. The splitter groups pages by date, so two cards with the same billing period end up in one file — which usually matches how you'd categorise them.
Year-end packets
Capital One's tax-time package bundles 12 statements plus a 1099-INT into one PDF. Drop it in, get 12 monthly statements plus an "Unlabelled" group for the 1099 — which you can extract separately with our Extract Pages tool.
Capital One statement splitter — FAQ
Will the 1099-INT page show up as a month?+
It'll show up as an "Unlabelled" group at the start, before any month header is found. You can re-label it manually or just delete that group before downloading.
Split a Chase statement
Chase statements use "Statement period" headers with MM/DD/YYYY dates. Detection works out of the box.
Split a Bank of America statement
BofA statements have "Statement Beginning" and "Statement Ending" headers. We detect the beginning month.
Split a Wells Fargo statement
Wells Fargo uses "Statement period activity summary" with spelled-out month ranges. Detection is reliable.
Split a Citi statement
Citi credit-card and checking statements use "Billing period" with MM/DD/YY format. We detect both.
