Axis bank statement password: the format, then the fix
Axis e-statements open with a name and birth date combination. Enter it below and save a copy that skips the prompt entirely.
The Axis Bank statement password format
The first 4 letters of your name in capitals, as printed on the statement, ignoring spaces and symbols, followed by your date of birth in DDMM.
Example: Rohit born 10 April = ROHI1004
The first 4 letters of your name in capitals plus your 9-digit Axis customer ID, if the birth date combination doesn't open the file.
Axis states the exact rule in the statement email, so check there when both formats fail. Short names are padded as printed on the statement; follow whatever the email shows. Without the correct password the file stays sealed, and only the bank can reissue it.
Build the password
Four name letters in capitals plus DDMM. ROHI1004 is the shape to copy.
Unlock in the browser
Drop the Axis PDF, type the password, click Unlock. The file stays on your device throughout.
Use the open copy
Download the unlocked statement and file it, split it by month, or convert it to Excel.
Unlocked the file? The usual reason people do this is bookkeeping, and the next step already has a Axis Bank-specific page.
Axis Bank statement password questions
What is the password for an Axis Bank statement PDF?+
The usual format is the first 4 letters of your name in capitals (as shown on the statement, no spaces or symbols) plus your date of birth in DDMM, e.g. ROHI1004 for Rohit born 10 April. If that fails, try the first 4 letters of your name plus your 9-digit Axis customer ID.
Can this crack a password I don't know?+
There is no guessing here. You type the password Axis set, the file opens, and only then is the protection removed. A PDF whose password you never received is a matter for the bank, not for any tool.
Why unlock the statement instead of opening it each time?+
Accounting tools, statement splitters and converters can't type a password for you. An unlocked copy works everywhere: attach it, import it, or archive it without the prompt.
Is this free?+
Removing a statement password costs nothing, with no account and no file limit. The optional paid features on this site are elsewhere (full-year splitting, full-statement conversion).
