What is the IOB statement PDF password?
An Indian Overseas Bank statement downloaded from net banking opens with your account number. A detailed statement from the IOB mobile app opens with the first 4 digits of your CIF ID followed by the last 4 digits of your mobile number. Type it once below to save a copy that opens without a password. The unlocking runs in your browser, so the statement is not uploaded.
The Indian Overseas Bank statement password format
Your account number. IOB's net banking manual says to open the downloaded file using the account number as the password.
Example: Account 123456789012345 = 123456789012345
The first 4 digits of your CIF ID followed by the last 4 digits of your registered mobile number. 8 digits.
Example: CIF 123456789, mobile ending 4321 = 12344321
Both rules are from IOB's own user manuals. The manuals give no rule for a statement that the bank emails to you, so for that one read the email. The email your statement came in states the rule for your account, so read it if the format above does not open your file. If you never received a password rule at all, only IOB can send the statement again.

An Indian Overseas Bank statement downloaded from net banking opens with your account number. A detailed statement from the IOB mobile app opens with the first 4 digits of your CIF ID followed by the last 4 digits of your mobile number.
My IOB statement password is not working. What should I check?
Check capital and small letters first. Then check that you used your name exactly as the bank has it, that the date is day first and month second, and that you used the first holder's details on a joint account. Also check whether the file is an account statement or a card statement, since banks often use a different rule for each. The email the statement came in states the rule for your account.
Can this open a statement if I do not know the password?
No. You have to type the correct password first. The tool does not guess or recover passwords. If you cannot work it out, ask IOB to send the statement again or download a new copy after logging in.
Is my statement uploaded when I unlock it here?
No. The unlocking runs in your browser. The PDF and the password stay on your device and are not sent to our server.
