The HSBC Singapore credit card statement password format
The short form of your card name, then the last 8 digits of your card number, with no spaces. The short form is the first letter of each word in the card's name. Leave out any words in brackets.
Example: HSBC Visa Revolution, card ending 1234 5678 = HVR12345678
This rule uses no personal details, which is why it looks different from most banks. HSBC's second example is the HSBC Live+ Credit Card, which becomes HLCC followed by the last 8 digits. If your card was lost or replaced, HSBC says to call the bank. This page is for HSBC in Singapore only. HSBC in other countries uses other rules. The email your statement came in states the rule for your account, so read it if the format above does not open your file. If you never received a password rule at all, only HSBC Singapore card can send the statement again.

My HSBC Singapore card statement password is not working. What should I check?
Check capital and small letters first. Then check that you used your name exactly as the bank has it, that the date is day first and month second, and that you used the first holder's details on a joint account. Also check whether the file is an account statement or a card statement, since banks often use a different rule for each. The email the statement came in states the rule for your account.
Can this open a statement if I do not know the password?
No. You have to type the correct password first. The tool does not guess or recover passwords. If you cannot work it out, ask HSBC Singapore card to send the statement again or download a new copy after logging in.
