Anyone can publish a checklist. The work is what happens after you have one: eleven PDFs in a Downloads folder, four of them called Statement.pdf, one of them locked with a password your bank chose for you, one of them a photo of a letter, and a portal that rejects anything over four megabytes without telling you which file was too big.
A pack does that part. Drop the folder in and every file is read in your browser, scored against the document types this submission wants, and placed. Ordering is a real requirement, not a nicety
Consular desks and letting agents work top to bottom through a list. A bundle in their order gets accepted in one pass. A folder of files named IMG_4821.pdf gets a follow-up email and, in a competitive rental market, no reply at all.
One merged PDF, or numbered files: it depends who's reading
Portals with named upload fields want separate files that map to those fields; merge them and the submission gets torn apart by hand at the other end. Humans reading an email want one document. Each pack knows which of the two its recipient expects and builds that.

What is an Application Pack?
One real-world submission (a UK visitor visa, a German rental application, an Indian home loan) expressed as an ordered checklist of documents plus the rules that submission enforces: how recent each document must be, the per-file size limit, and whether the recipient wants one merged PDF or numbered separate files.
Is the checklist free?
Yes, and it stays that way. Every pack page lists the full requirement set, what each document must show and the portal's limits, with no account needed. What Pro adds is the builder: dropping your whole folder in, having every file matched to its slot, seeing what's missing, and getting the assembled bundle back.
Do my documents get uploaded?
No. Files are read and assembled inside your browser tab. That matters here more than anywhere else on the site: these packs are built from passports, bank statements and payslips.
How does it know which document is which?
Each file's text layer is read and scored against the cues that identify a document type. A bank statement carries a statement period and a closing balance; a payslip carries gross pay and deductions. Every placement is shown with the cues that fired and can be corrected in one click.
What if my document is a scan with no text?
It can't be matched automatically, so it's flagged and you place it by hand. Running it through OCR first makes it matchable, and makes it searchable for whoever receives it.
Are these the official requirement lists?
No, and no third party's list can be. Each pack is compiled from the authority's published guidance and says so, with the date it was last reviewed. Requirements change and caseworkers ask for more, so always check the official list for your own application before you file.
